The DPC — or Daily Post Challenge — is a great thing. I think. At the very least, it gets the creativity flowing, and it’s got me stretching the writing muscles. Sort of. (Probably?)
But here’s the thing: I already kind of did that in March, and as a result, I rather feel like I’m going to overshoot significantly. In other words, I think I’m about to become a filterless babblebot spewing brain popcorn indiscriminately across the interwebz at frequent-but-unpredictable intervals.
I get the feeling that, were I feeling slightly less crazy right now, I would be concerned about this. As is, I’m just going to see how it goes. Maybe I’ll overshoot, maybe I won’t; maybe I will write posts and posts and posts until I start writing “for real” (i.e., fiction); and maybe I will abandon interest in this partway through to go off and indulge other creative urges. The only thing I can say with anything like certainty is that there will be posts. For quite a while, there will be posts.
Oh, and the other certain thing: if you’re worried about missing them, you can find all the upcoming Daily Post Challenge pieces under the DPC tag. (Which does not exist yet, but will soon!)
